Jim was born and raised in Boonville. He is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Health and Safety/Biology and also earned a Masters Degree in Sports Medicine. Jim was an Athletic Trainer for the United States Olympic Team in 1996 and 2000.
While serving on the Executive Boards of the Indiana Athletic Trainers Association and Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association, and acting as Governmental Affairs Chairman, Jim was responsible for budgeting, evaluating requests for money and helping to establish policy over a 6 state region.. He also assisted in vetting requests and distributing over 1.5 million in grant money and worked with State and National legislators to develop laws governing the safety of our youth.
He is a retired teacher from the Warrick County School Corp. and is currently the Asst. Athletic Director at Boonville High School. He also helps run Miller’s 5&10 on the Square. Jim lives with his wife, Tammy and has three children and 6 grandchildren.
